Anthony has spent most of his life around the water. Some of his earliest memories are of fishing with family, and growing up surrounded by people who shared the same passion for the ocean and the outdoors. From a young age, time on the water quickly became more than just a hobby, it became a way of life.

Over the years, that passion has taken him to many places. Family and solo trips have seen him fish across Australia, from locations such as Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as overseas destinations including Fiji, New Zealand and Vanuatu. Wherever he travelled, fishing was always part of the journey.

​

Outside of the ocean, Anthony has always been drawn to the outdoors. Much of his time has been spent in nature, whether fishing, exploring the bush, or occasionally living off-grid for periods of time. The connection to the natural environment has always been a big part of who he is.

 

Professionally, Anthony built a successful career as a plumber and builder, running his own business for many years. While that work provided a solid foundation, the pull toward the ocean and fishing was always there. Over time it became clear that sharing knowledge and helping others learn the craft of fishing was something he wanted to pursue more seriously.

Anthony holds a current Master’s / Captain’s licence and has spent time working alongside charter operations, commercial fishery as well as participating in drum-lining programs along sections of the coastline. These experiences have allowed him to see many different sides of fishing, from recreational angling through to commercial and operational environments.

​

Those years on the water have shaped a calm and practical approach to fishing. Anthony believes that understanding the ocean, observing conditions, and developing simple repeatable systems is far more valuable than relying on luck.

 

Through AC Fishing Coaching, Anthony now works with anglers who want to learn how to fish more confidently and develop their own understanding of the water. The focus is not on quick results, but on helping people build knowledge that stays with them long after the session ends.
